What would this year actually cost you?

Sticker price is the least useful number in health sharing. Tell us about your household and the care you expect, and we'll total the real cost — shares, initial amounts and routine care — across every vetted plan and your current coverage.

This is one year, not a lifetime

Health sharing is voluntary. No plan is contractually obligated to pay, and a bad enough year can exceed an annual cap. The saving above is real, but it is compensation for taking on risk your current coverage carries for you.

These are estimates. Want to talk through your actual situation?

One of our advisors can tell you what you'd really be eligible for, which waiting periods would apply to you, and where these numbers would land for your household.

What this calculator assumes

Every calculator makes assumptions. Most hide them. Here are ours, so you can judge whether the number applies to you.

Routine care is yours either way

Office visits and prescriptions sit below every plan’s initial amount, so they come out of your pocket on every plan compared. We price visits at $140 cash-pay, a generic estimate — not a specific plan’s negotiated rate.

We don't ask your age

The monthly shares shown are each plan’s published starting rate for your household size, not an age-adjusted quote. Health-share pricing usually rises with age — for an exact number, use the Advisor.

Your current plan's deductible

For your existing coverage we assume a $3,500 deductible and 20% coinsurance (capped at $2,800), applied against an assumed $24,000 bill per event. If your plan differs, treat the comparison as directional.

One initial amount per event

We apply the household initial amount once per medical event, not per person or per bill, matching how most plans compared here operate. A plan that charges per person will run higher than shown.

Signup and annual fees aren't included

Many plans charge a separate application or annual membership fee. We don't yet have a verified figure for every plan, so totals below don't include one — confirm current fees on the plan's review page before enrolling.

No subsidy, no pre-existing conditions

If you qualify for an ACA premium tax credit, your current-coverage number should be lower than shown, and the calculator will flag that sharing may be the wrong answer. Pre-existing conditions aren't modeled at all — every plan phases them in differently, and that's an eligibility question, not a math one.
